Latin Quarter
The 5th arrondissement is on the Left Bank of the Seine River in central Paris. It is often known as the Quartier Latin (Latin Quarter) even though it's been a long time since many people have spoken Latin there. This is one of the oldest districts in all Paris and offers some attractions dating back to the time of the Romans. The Latin Quarter is home to many universities and other centers of higher education, and naturally scads of bars, bistros, restaurants, and nightclubs. The Latin Quarter was one of my favorite parts of Paris. You could walk around for hours and never see them same place. The maze of streets combined with the smells of amazing food; make this one of the best places in Paris.
